CSL Executive Hockey League
The Cote Saint-Luc Executive Hockey League has announced the addition of free agent Dan Climan to the Lightning, captained by Jeff Grostern and John Zimmer. Climan’s speed and scoring ability are expected to provide a much-needed boost to the team following a disappointing 0-4-1 start to the season. Dan is the brother of league veteran Max Climan. According to scouting reports, while Max is the more skilled of the two brothers, Dan is younger, taller, faster, better looking, and most importantly, arrives with significantly better-smelling equipment. Addressing suggestions of nepotism given the league’s lengthy waiting list, Commissioner Corey Krakower was quick to dismiss any concerns. “While Dan certainly has family connections, he plays the game the right way and is a great guy in the room. His admission in no way violates the league’s longstanding and hardline stance against nepotism,” said Krakower, who was recently appointed commissioner by his father without any formal selection process. Dan joins the league following the unfortunate retirement of Jamie London, who has been forced to hang up his skates due to injury. London finishes his Executive League career with 99 goals, 64 assists, and 163 points over 10 seasons. The league thanks Jamie for a decade of dedication, sportsmanship, and the remarkable restraint required to retire one goal shy of 100. We look forward to welcoming Dan to the league and wish Jamie nothing but the best in retirement.

The Côte Saint-Luc Executive Hockey League is pleased to announce its new YouTube channel, featuring game footage and highlights from select games. The channel was created by veteran goaltender Larry Cohen, whose increasingly frequent question, “How the hell did that go in?” required more than eyewitness accounts. Thanks to Larry and his XBotGo camera setup, answers are now available on video. The league hopes this initiative will create meaningful family bonding opportunities for its players: top draft picks can show their highlights to their kids, while the more senior players can ask their grandchildren how to use YouTube. Exec Hockey Launches YouTube Channel
The Exec Hockey League congratulates Warren Garfield on reaching a major career milestone after scoring goals #399 and #400 last night. Now in his 18th season, Garfield is the league’s all-time leading scorer and continues to add to one of the most accomplished offensive careers in league history. Over nearly two decades, opposing teams have learned that there are very few things capable of keeping Garfield off the scoresheet. Stellar defence can occasionally do it. An inclement weather forecast has proven considerably more effective. Congratulations to Warren on an outstanding milestone, and here’s to many more — weather permitting.
